Responsibilities:

1. Provide companionship through reading, conversation, and listening.
2. Participate in recreational activities and hobbies for social and sensory stimulation.
3. Assist clients with phone calls, letter writing, etc.
4. Maintain a safe home environment.
5. Accompany clients on walks, community trips, errands, and medical appointments.
6. Inform the Care Coordinator or Director of Nursing of any changes.
7. Offer emotional support and promote well-being.
8. Keep detailed daily notes on activities, medications, and concerns.
9. Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean environment.
10. Help maintain a safe and healthy environment, respond to emergencies as needed.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED preferred. Training in human development, interpersonal relationships, nutrition, household tasks, safety, and cleanliness is beneficial.

Skills and Abilities:

• Effective communication with clients, families, and staff.
• Ability to interpret safety and operation instructions.
• Ability to produce routine reports and correspondence.
• Skills in light housekeeping, meal prep, and caring attitude.
