Reports To: Agency Manager, IHSS Healthcare Professional, Supervisor
Supervises: NONE
The health maintenance attendant shall provide personal and health maintenance care as instructed.
Essential duties include:

High school diploma or GED accepted. Minimum of two (2) years providing personal care, with six (6) months accepted; preferably one (1) year with licensed agency experience.
Ability to read, write, and understand English; send/receive emails; use computer for communication and documentation; maintain confidentiality; knowledge of home health care practices; effective communication skills; ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.
Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, kneel, walk, balance, crouch, crawl, push, pull, reach, talk, hear, finger, handle, feel, climb, use sense of smell, lift/move up to 50 pounds regularly and 100 pounds occasionally, and perform physical assists safely. Vision abilities required include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Frequent exposure to outside weather, variable conditions in private homes, unpredictable lighting, acoustics, air quality, temperature, and hazards. Occasionally exposed to wet/humid conditions, animals, fumes, chemicals. Noise level is usually moderate.
Frequent travel required for consumer visits.
