Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to deliver specialized rehab for the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, develop care plans, and fabricate custom orthoses in a multidisciplinary setting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with a Doctoral PT or OT preferred, current state licensure, and a CHT credential. Experience in upper-extremity rehab and mentoring others is valued; competitive benefits and opportunities for advancement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• 3+ years of experience in upper-extremity rehabilitation and outpatient therapy.
• Current state PT or OT license; Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments and establish plan of care.
• Provide hand and upper-extremity rehabilitation interventions.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises activities of OTAs, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints for hand and upper-extremity conditions.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
