Job summary

Norman Regional Health System seeks a Certified Hand Therapist or PT/OT with extensive hand therapy experience to provide specialized rehab for hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, develop recovery plans, and lead orthotic fabrication and education.

You will collaborate with hand surgeons and therapists, supervise assistants and students, and contribute to interdisciplinary care planning in an outpatient setting. 3+ years in upper-extremity rehab is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• 3+ years of experience in upper-extremity rehabilitation and outpatient therapy.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions for age and disability.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Direct supervision of OTAs, students and support staff.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve and postoperative conditions.
• Provide scar management, edema control, wound care, and return-to-work rehabilitation as appropriate.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and case discussions.
