Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist to deliver specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. The role includes evaluation, custom splinting, and developing recovery plans.

You will collaborate with hand surgeons, physicians, and therapists to optimize patient outcomes, mentor students, and lead orthotic fabrication and post-surgical rehab efforts. 3+ years of upper-extremity rehab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in OT or PT is required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited OT program.
• 3+ years of upper-extremity rehabilitation experience.
• Current state PT or OT license and CHT credential.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions for hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs OT Assistants, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints for hand and upper-extremity conditions.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat patients with orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and case discussions.
