Norman Regional Health System seeks a Certified Hand Therapist to deliver specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. Responsibilities include patient evaluation, custom splinting, and recovery plan development in a hands-on clinical setting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with a preference for a Doctorate in Physical or Occupational Therapy and 3+ years in upper-extremity rehab. Collaboration with surgeons and therapists is essential for comprehensive care.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• 3+ years of upper-extremity rehabilitation and outpatient therapy experience.

Responsabilidades

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to age and disability.
• Document Delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises activities of Occupational Therapy Assistants, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints for hand and upper-extremity conditions.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat patients with orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions.
• Provide scar management, edema control, wound care, and return-to-work rehabilitation as appropriate.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
