Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist to provide specialized hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder rehabilitation. The role includes patient evaluation, custom splinting, and developing comprehensive recovery plans.

You will collaborate with hand surgeons and therapists, supervise OT staff, and contribute to interdisciplinary care planning. A Bachelor's is required; a DPT/OT doctorate is preferred, plus 3+ years of upper-extremity rehab experience and an active license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• 3+ years of experience in upper-extremity rehabilitation and outpatient therapy.
• Current state PT or OT license.
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder rehabilitation; evaluate patient and develop recovery plans.
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments; establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to age and disability.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises activities of OT assistants, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints; educate on wear and care.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, postoperative conditions; scar management, edema control, wound care, return-to-work rehab.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals; participate in interdisciplinary care planning.
