Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. Responsibilities include patient evaluation, custom splinting, and developing recovery plans.

Collaboration with hand surgeons and other health professionals is essential. The role requires a Bachelor's degree with a DPT or DOT preferred, a current PT/OT license, and 3+ years of upper-extremity rehab experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• DPT or DOT preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.
• 3+ years of upper-extremity rehab and outpatient therapy experience.
• Current state PT or OT license; CHT credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments; establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to patient age and disability.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Direct and supervise OT Assistants, students and support staff.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat post-surgical and injury rehabilitation including scar management, edema control, and return-to-work rehab.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, PTs, and other healthcare professionals.
