Job summary

Norman Regional Health System seeks a Certified Hand Therapist to lead specialized rehabilitation of hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder injuries. You will evaluate patients, create plans of care, fabricate orthoses, and collaborate with surgeons and therapists to optimize recovery.

Requires a Bachelor's degree with OT/PT licensure and CHT credential; 3+ years in upper-extremity rehab. CPR/BLS required; leadership or mentoring experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred; Graduate of an accredited OT program.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to age and disability.
• Document the delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises activities of OT Assistants, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints for hand and upper-extremity conditions.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat patients with orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions.
• Provide scar management, edema control, wound care, and return-to-work rehabilitation as appropriate.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
