Job summary

Norman Regional Health System seeks a Certified Hand Therapist to provide specialized rehabilitation of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. Responsibilities include evaluation, splinting, and complex recovery planning in a busy outpatient setting.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and a current PT/OT license; a CHT is preferred. 3+ years in upper-extremity rehab, plus CPR/BLS certification, are expected; strong teamwork and leadership are beneficial for mentoring students and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• 3+ years of experience in upper-extremity rehabilitation and outpatient therapy.
• Current state PT or OT license.
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and establish plans of care for upper-extremity rehab.
• Provide hand/upper-extremity therapy and splinting interventions.
• Document therapy services delivered to each patient.
• Directs and supervises OT Assistants, students, and support staff.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and educate about custom orthoses and splints.
• Handle post-surgical and injury rehab including scar and edema control.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons and other clinicians on care plans.
