Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a hand therapy specialist to evaluate and rehabilitate the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder in an outpatient setting. You will assess patients, develop care plans, and provide custom splinting as part of a comprehensive therapy program.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, a PT or OT license, and a CHT credential, with 3+ years in upper-extremity rehab. You will supervise staff, collaborate with hand surgeons, and contribute to post-surgical rehab and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• DPT or DOT preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited OT program.
• 3+ years of experience in upper-extremity rehabilitation and outpatient therapy.
• Current state PT or OT license.
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions for hand/upper-extremity rehab.
• Document delivery of therapy services.
• Directs and supervises OT Assistants, students, and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints; educate patients on wear and care.
• Treat post-surgical and injury rehab; scar management and return-to-work rehab.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, and other healthcare professionals; participate in care planning.
