Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist to lead specialized hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder rehab in an outpatient setting. You will evaluate patients, develop customized plans, and fabricate orthoses, while mentoring staff and coordinating with surgeons and therapists.

The role emphasizes advanced upper-extremity knowledge, documentation accuracy, and a patient-centered approach to optimize recovery and return-to-work outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to age and disability.
• Document Delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Direct and supervise OT Assistants, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom hand/wrist splints and orthoses.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions.
• Provide scar management, edema control, wound care, and return-to-work rehab as appropriate.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, PTs, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and case discussions.
