Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to lead specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, create customized splints, and develop recovery plans to restore function and independence.

The role involves supervising OT staff, collaborating with hand surgeons and therapists, and contributing to comprehensive care plans for post-surgical and injury rehab. A Bachelor’s degree and CHT licensure are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of upper-extremity rehab and outpatient therapy.
• Current state PT or OT license; CHT credential.
• Bachelor's degree required; OT/PT degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient condition and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to patient age and disability.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises OT assistants, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints for hand/upper-extremity conditions.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat patients with orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and case discussions.
