Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, create recovery plans, and supervise OTAs and students. The role includes orthotic fabrication and collaboration with hand surgeons and other clinicians.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and a current PT/OT license with CHT credential. Experience in orthopedic and post-surgical rehab is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• DPT or DOT preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• 3+ years of upper-extremity rehab and outpatient therapy.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions suitable for age and disability.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Direct and supervise OTAs, students, and support staff.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust hand/upper-extremity orthoses.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions.
• Provide scar management, edema control, wound care, and return-to-work rehab.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedics, PTs, and other health professionals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and case discussions.
