Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to deliver hands-on rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, create custom splints, and tailor recovery plans aligned with individual goals.

You will supervise OT Assistants and students, fabricate orthoses, and manage post-surgical and injury rehab, collaborating with hand surgeons and other clinicians to ensure comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• 3+ years of upper-extremity rehab/outpatient therapy experience.
• Current state PT or OT license; CHT credential; CPR/BLS.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation, splinting, and recovery plans.
• Directs OT Assistants, students and staff.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions; scar management, edema control, wound care, return-to-work rehab.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals; participate in care planning.
