Job summary

Norman Regional Health System seeks a Certified Hand Therapist to lead specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. The role involves evaluating patients, creating recovery plans, designing and fitting custom orthoses, and educating patients on orthosis wear and precautions.

The position requires 3+ years in upper-extremity rehab and an active PT/OT license with CHT credentials. Collaboration with hand surgeons and therapists is essential to patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• DPT or DOT preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited OT program.
• 3+ years of upper-extremity rehab in outpatient therapy.
• Current state PT or OT license; CHT credential; CPR/BLS.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and establish plans of care for hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder rehab.
• Provide splinting and custom orthosis fabrication and education on wear and care.
• Supervise OT assistants, students and support staff.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons and other healthcare professionals on care plans.
• Manage post-surgical and injury rehab including scar management and edema control.
