Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist to deliver expert upper-extremity rehabilitation in our outpatient setting. You will evaluate patients, develop individualized plans, fabricate and fit custom orthoses, and guide post-surgical and traumatic recovery in collaboration with hand surgeons and therapists.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in upper-extremity rehab, holds a valid PT or OT license, and a CHT credential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• DPT or DOT preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited OT program.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patient condition and establish plan of care.
• Provide hand therapy interventions for upper-extremity conditions.
• Document Delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints for hand and upper-extremity conditions.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions.
• Provide scar management, edema control, wound care, and return-to-work rehabilitation as appropriate.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and case discussions.
