Job summary

Rush Truck Centers in San Diego, CA is seeking a Diesel Service Technician to service and repair customer fleet vehicles and equipment with a strong focus on safety and quality.

The role requires 5 years of Class 7 & 8 truck experience, a valid CDL, and Ford/Hino/Isuzu/Cummins or ASE certifications. You will perform diagnostics, repairs, routine maintenance, and collaborate with customers to ensure satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5 years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Valid driver license with insurability; CDL and Medical card preferred but not required.
• Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins and/or ASE certifications are preferred & rewarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.
• Reading job orders, diagnostics, and determining malfunction to plan procedures.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase satisfaction.
• Attend training classes and stay current with factory bulletins.
