Rush Truck Centers in San Diego, CA is seeking an Experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to maintain client fleets on-site and respond to service calls at customer locations. You will diagnose, repair, and service heavy trucks using diagnostic tools, while keeping documentation up to date and ensuring safe operation.

This role requires 5+ years as a Class 7/8 technician, ASE certifications preferred, and a strong mechanical aptitude. CDL is a plus and a medical card may be required.

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Current CDL preferred but not required.
• Medical card as required by the FMVSS.
• ASE certifications preferred and rewarded.

Responsabilités

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance and inspections on trucks at client sites.
• Manage inventory control on the service truck and for keeping the vehicle stocked.
• Report to the Service Manager and perform daily assigned duties.
• Maintain availability for after-hours service calls and open work schedule.
• Read job orders and diagnose malfunction using diagnostic equipment.
• Perform repairs including injectors, pistons, bearings, brakes, and transmissions.
• Document work in the company computer system and customer records.
