Rush Truck Centers in Texas is hiring a Diesel Service Technician to service and repair customer fleets, ensuring high quality repairs and strong customer service. The role includes installing engine components, overhauls, and conducting tests to confirm specifications are met.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, 5 years of Class 7/8 experience, and valid driver license with insurability. CDL and Medical card per FMVSS are preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5 years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• CDL and Medical card as required by FMVSS preferred but not required.
• Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins, and ASE certifications are preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.
• Cleaning, maintenance, visual inspection, and removal of parts and attachments.
• Installation with manuals, report writing, disassembly, assembly, parts reuse evaluation, and reconditioning.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Install injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinder heads, bearings, oil pans, clutches, and other parts.
• Read job order and determine malfunction to plan procedures.
• Inspect safety devices and adjust as needed.
• Lubricate parts and verify conformance by driving the vehicle.
• Tag warranty parts and returns to warranty clerk.
• Attend training and stay updated with factory bulletins.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers.
