Job Summary and Qualifications

As a remote Cancer Registry Team Lead, you will oversee daily operations related to Cancer Registry services according to SLAs with Cancer Registry Shared Services.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing guidance to staff in case-finding and abstraction.
• Supporting process and service improvements.
• Conducting quality control and reporting accuracy and timeliness.
• Completing case abstraction per CoC and State Registry standards.
• Preparing NCDB data exports and ensuring data quality.
• Submitting monthly data to State Registry.
• Resolving record rejection errors.
• Training and developing employees.
• Monitoring productivity and quality standards.
• Reporting on team performance and training needs.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of abstracting experience.
• 4+ years of abstracting and/or HIM supervisory experience preferred.
• CTR certification required; ODS certification acceptable in lieu of CTR.
