Job Summary and Qualifications

As a remote Cancer Registry Team Lead, you will oversee daily operations related to Cancer Registry services per Service Level Agreements with Cancer Registry Shared Services.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing guidance to staff in case-finding and abstraction.
• Assisting leadership in process and service improvements.
• Monitoring and reporting on quality and accuracy of abstracts.
• Ensuring compliance with standards of the CoC and State Central Cancer Registry.
• Preparing data exports for NCDB submissions.
• Submitting data to state registries and resolving errors.
• Training and developing team members.
• Performing productivity and quality reviews.
• Reporting on team and individual performance.
• Monitoring productivity and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of abstracting experience.
• 4+ years of experience and/or HIM supervisory experience preferred.
• Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) certification required; Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) certification acceptable in lieu of CTR.
