Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience in building inspection or related field preferred.
• Certification as a building inspector or plans examiner is required.
• Texas driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct residential, commercial, industrial, and other inspections at various stages.
• Review building plans, construction documents, site plans, and permit applications for code compliance.
• Process and assist with issuance of building permits, trade permits, and certificates of occupancy.
