Qualifications

• 3 years municipal building‑inspection experience or 5 years of progressively responsible construction experience.
• Equivalent mix of education, training, and experience acceptable unless a license is required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts advanced residential and commercial inspections and plan reviews.
• Interprets codes, prepares inspection notes, and issues correction notices.
• Reviews complex plans and engineering documents for code compliance.
• Provides guidance to staff and coordinates with applicants and design professionals.
• Maintains records and supports plans and permitting processes.
• Responds to inquiries and educates applicants on requirements.
