Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology Assistant program.
• Certification from the NCCAA required.
• Current state licensure as an anesthesiologist assistant.
• Excellent communication and written skills.
• Ability to respond to varying demands of patient care.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and make critical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients across ages and settings and document pre-anesthetic history and exam.
• Interpret diagnostic studies and obtain samples as needed.
• Establish monitoring modalities as delegated.
• Assist in anesthesia induction, maintenance, and recovery.
• Provide airway management and advanced life support when appropriate.
• Document case progress and orders.
