Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Accredited anesthesiologist assistant program completed.
• Certification from NCCAA required.
• Current state licensure as an anesthesiologist assistant required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients of all ages and obtain pre-anesthetic health histories.
• Perform pre-anesthetic physical examinations and document findings.
• Assist in anesthesia induction, maintenance, and emergence with anesthesia team.
• Assist in regional anesthesia techniques and post-anesthesia rounds.
• Monitor patients and manage airway and ventilation as directed.
• Provide patient care coordination and documentation in EMR.
• Train and supervise staff in use of monitors and equipment.
• Collaborate with clinicians and participate in hospital committees.
