Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Completion of an accredited anesthesiologist assistant program.
• Certification from the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants required.
• Current state licensure as an anesthesiologist assistant required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients of any age and obtain pre-anesthetic health histories.
• Perform pre-anesthetic physical exams and document data for review by an anesthesiologist.
• Obtain and interpret diagnostic labs and blood samples as appropriate.
• Establish monitoring modalities and assist in advanced monitoring techniques.
• Assist in induction, maintenance, and adjustment of anesthesia and postoperative care.
