Job summary

PeaceHealth seeks a Centralized Scheduling Coordinator in Oregon for a full-time, day shift. The role coordinates surgeries, procedures, and exams across hospital and outpatient departments, communicating with physicians, patients, and staff to optimize schedules and resources.

The position requires an associate degree and at least 2 years of scheduling/EMR experience, with strong customer service, problem solving and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate Degree or equivalent experience.
• Preferred: basic anatomy/physiology related to exams and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate surgeries, procedures, exams, therapies and evaluations across departments.
• Receive and respond to scheduling inquiries from patients and caregivers.
• Ensure scheduling changes follow policies and obtain necessary approvals.
• Collect and verify patient demographics, insurance and clinical information.
• Identify conflicts in scheduling and resolve with leadership guidance.
• Update guidelines and policies to improve efficiency.
• Schedule third party resources while maximizing department efficiency.
• Maintain accurate templates and schedules for multiple facilities.
