Job summary

Brown and Caldwell, Inc. is seeking a Wastewater Area Practice Leader (APL) for the Central Area (Colorado, Utah and Texas).

The role combines strategic leadership, business development, and project delivery to advance the wastewater practice across the Central region. You will set priorities, lead a high-performing team, and collaborate with area and enterprise leaders to deliver high-impact engineering solutions for clients while driving growth and profitability.

Qualifications

• Typically 15+ years in increasing leadership roles including technical, operational, or business leadership.
• Experience in environmental consulting, engineering, construction, and operations.
• Experience in annual business planning, strategy development, and staffing/revenue forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Align Area performance with Leaders and Directors; establish milestones for growth and profitability.
• Lead development and execution of the strategic growth plan for the Practice within the Area.
• Communicate practice strategy to Client Service Teams and support regional/national priorities.
• Win new work as Sales Leader or Technical Seller to grow the practice.
• Provide technical leadership across projects and pursuits; support CST duties for clients.
• Build and lead a high-performing team with coaching and accountability.
• Plan staffing, revenue targets, and resource allocation across the portfolio.
