Brown and Caldwell seeks a Wastewater Area Practice Leader (APL) to guide the Central Area’s wastewater strategy across Colorado, Utah, and Texas. You will shape priorities for business development, hiring, and innovation while delivering high-quality engineering analyses and project delivery.

The role emphasizes growth, technical leadership, and collaboration with regional and national leaders. A remote-work option is allowed with location in CO/UT/TX and relocation support is available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in environmental engineering or related field.
• PE license in Colorado, Utah and/or Texas preferred.
• Master's degree in a related engineering field with focus on wastewater preferred.
• Demonstrated sales leadership for wastewater projects.
• Demonstrated strategy leadership for sales/operations to drive growth.
• Ability to motivate others and lead teams to execute plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex technical analyses and engineering design efforts.
• Prepare, review, and approve advanced technical reports and deliverables.
• Develop environmental protection systems and infrastructure for complex projects.
• Lead development of facility, watershed, or strategic resource management plans.
• Ensure technical quality, regulatory compliance, and integration of inputs.
• Provide technical leadership during permitting, coordination, and vendor engagement.
• Flexibly take on additional assignments as needs evolve.
