Job summary

Brown and Caldwell is seeking a Wastewater Area Practice Leader (APL) for the Central Area (Colorado, Utah, Texas). The role leads complex wastewater engineering projects and shapes the practice strategy across Colorado, Utah, and Texas.

You will drive business development, hiring, and innovation while guiding technical excellence and client delivery. The APL collaborates with regional and national leaders to grow the practice, manage staff development, and ensure high-quality project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering or related field required.
• Master's degree in related engineering field preferred.
• PE license in CO/UT/TX strongly preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant environmental engineering experience; project leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead & execute complex technical analyses and engineering design efforts.
• Prepare, review, and approve advanced technical reports and deliverables.
• Develop and design environmental protection systems and infrastructure for complex projects.
• Lead development of facility, watershed, or strategic resource management plans.
• Ensure technical quality, regulatory compliance, and integration of multidisciplinary inputs.
• Provide technical leadership during permitting, regulatory coordination, and vendor engagement.
