Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Youngstown, OH is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to reprocess reusable instruments and equipment in the Sterile Processing department. You will clean, package, sterilize, and distribute reusables for OR case carts and ensure infection control standards are met.

Under supervision, you will maintain stock levels, document sterilization logs, and coordinate with the Surgical team to support efficient patient flow and safety.

Qualifications

• Follows detailed written and oral instructions.
• Completes specific, routine tasks.
• Requires reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• Operate equipment/machinery.
• Prior Central Service or Surgery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a neat, clean work environment and accurate files in all processing areas.
• Maintains stock levels and coordinates replenishment with the inventory coordinator.
• Ensures proper organization, location, rotation and identification of reusable supplies.
• Completes sterile reprocessing of surgical instrumentation and linen packs.
• Keeps sterilization logs and quality records up to date and accurate.
