Job summary

Meharry Medical College seeks a Security Dispatcher to serve as the central communications contact for shift officers and the campus community on security matters. You will multitask handling radio traffic, three-line phone calls, alarm monitoring, and dissemination of information with excellent customer service.

You will maintain incident logs, coordinate with police and towing services as directed, and support daily dispatch operations to keep the campus safe and informed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; no prior law enforcement experience required.

Responsibilities

• Keep a detailed log of all incidents with date and time.
• Handle radio communications and three-line telephone calls.
• Monitor alarm displays and disseminate information to staff.
• Retrieve and organize daily crime logs and timely warnings.
• Maintain dispatch logbook and update with new information daily.
• Track keys issued to staff with accurate time and name.
• Call Nashville Metro Police for reportable crimes.
• Coordinate towing services as directed by supervisors.
• Perform other dispatch-related tasks as needed.
