Job summary

Children's of Alabama is seeking a Security Dispatcher at the Main Campus in Birmingham. The role is to efficiently disseminate information to Security Staff and relevant departments, and to promptly answer and execute calls received via two-way radio or telephone.

Duties include using a multi-line phone system, paging, transferring calls, and becoming familiar with CCTV, access control computer, and alarm systems. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Basic computer knowledge with Word and Excel.
• Must be able to operate a multi-line telephone and paging system.
• Familiarity with CCTV, access control, and alarm systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Disseminate information to Security Staff and necessary departments.
• Promptly answer, execute and be responsible for all calls via two-way radio or telephone.

Job description

In Security at Main Campus Park Place South

Work schedule will be Part-time Benefits Ineligible on the Rotating Shift.

Summary:

The Security Dispatcher is responsible for efficiently disseminating information to the Security Staff and / or necessary departments. The Communication Specialist shall promptly answer, execute and be responsible for all calls received by way of two-way radio or telephone.

Other information:

• Basic computer knowledge: Microsoft Word and Excel
• Must be able to use a multi line telephone and familiarize themselves with it's various functions such as paging, transferring calls, etc.
• Will have to become familiar with the use of the CCTV system, Toye Access Control Computer, Simplex Panic Alarm system, Digital Receiver for burglar alarms and the use of a two-way radio.
• Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.
