Zusammenfassung

The Trustees of Union College in the Town of Schenectady in the State of New York seeks a Stationary Engineer Level II to assist with operations, maintenance, and repair of equipment in the central plant and downstream steam and chilled water distribution. Shift is Monday–Friday, 7:30AM–4:30PM, 40 hours per week, non-exempt full-time.

Requires an associate degree in plant utilities or related field and strong knowledge of DCS, pumps, and cooling systems; NY driver’s license and station engineer

Qualifikationen

• Associates degree in plant utilities, electrical, or mechanical engineering; 3–5 years boiler/engineer experience.
• Experience operating high-pressure steam boilers and distribution.
• Central plant chiller systems and distributed chilled water experience.
• Valid New York State driver’s license; stationary engineer license preferred.

Aufgaben

• Assist with startup, shutdown, and emergency procedures for plant systems.
• Perform water tests and support care of cooling towers and boiler feed water.
• Monitor control room instrumentation and alarms; use BMS for performance.
• Assist with building switchovers by draining/filling AHU coils depending on season.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on boilers, chillers, HRSGs, and pumps.
• Identify leaks and abnormal conditions; coordinate repairs with vendors.
