Union College in Schenectady, NY is seeking a Stationary Engineer Level II to assist with operations, maintenance, and repair of central plant equipment including gas-fired turbines, boilers, HRSG, and chillers.

The role supports downstream steam and chilled water distribution, with work days Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM, 40 hours per week. Requires hands-on boiler and plant systems experience and a NY license or status.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in plant utilities, electrical, or mechanical engineering preferred.
• Experience operating high pressure steam boilers and distribution.
• Experience with central plant chiller systems and distributed chilled water.

Responsabilités

• Operate startup, shutdown, and emergency procedures for central plant systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for boilers, chillers, HRSG, turbine, generators, and pumps.
• Monitor control room instrumentation and alarms; coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Use the work order system to schedule maintenance and track repairs.
