Union College is seeking a Stationary Engineer Level II to support operations, maintenance, and repair of central plant equipment and the downstream steam and chilled water distribution. The role emphasizes safe operation, preventive maintenance, and reliable plant performance.

Work days are Monday through Friday, with a 7:30 AM–4:30 PM shift, 40 hours per week. The position requires experience with high‑pressure steam systems and distribution, and a NY license or equivalent certification.

Formación

• Associates degree in plant utilities, electrical, or mechanical engineering with 3–5 years' boiler/operator experience.
• Experience operating high pressure steam boilers and distribution.
• Valid New York State driver’s license and Stationary Engineer license or Navy plant operator certification.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with startup, shutdown, and emergency procedures for plant systems (gas turbine, boilers, HRSG, chillers).
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on boilers, chillers, turbines, and related equipment.
• Monitor control room instrumentation and alarms; use BMS for performance and corrections.
• Support vendor services and coordinate with the Works system for maintenance tracking.
• Assist with repairs to campus steam traps and condensate systems.
