Festival Foods in La Crosse, WI, is hiring for Center Store Assistant Manager-PM. The role leads Center Store departments across Grocery, Frozen/Dairy, Natural & Organic, and HBC/GM, supporting afternoon and night shifts and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include training associates, maintaining standards, managing inventory and pricing, and leading during Manager absence. A strong leadership and retail background is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• 2+ years of leadership experience in retail, grocery, warehouse, or restaurant preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of the retail food business and strong merchandising skills.
• Familiarity with store operations and coordination with store/vendor teams.
• Ability to make timely decisions and manage a diverse team.
• Understanding of safety requirements and policies; recognize hazards.
• Knowledge of equipment such as hand jacks, balers, forklifts, hand trucks, trash compactors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Center Store departments, adapting to daily business needs.
• Step in and lead teams in the absence of Center Store Manager(s).
• Train, coach, and re-train associates to ensure high performance and guest service.
• Maintain department standards: inventory, pricing, cleanliness.
• Collaborate with Store Director and managers to exceed guest expectations.
• Verify timekeeping and address scheduling issues with HR.
• Assist guests with product location, special orders, and questions.
• Maintain department cleanliness and organization; support closing where needed.
• Contribute to performance reviews and disciplinary actions as required.
