Job summary

Meineke in Gulfport, MS is seeking an experienced Center Manager to lead daily shop operations, hire and develop staff, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will drive sales, manage schedules, and maintain strong team performance in a busy automotive service center.

The right candidate will oversee financials, budgeting, parts and labor cost controls, and center image, while ensuring compliance with Meineke standards and delivering a high-quality customer experience that keeps customers

Qualifications

• 3+ years of management experience in automotive service, retail, or customer-facing business.
• Working knowledge of general automotive maintenance and repairs.
• Ability to understand repair estimates and explain services to customers.
• Familiarity with automotive parts ordering, labor guide, and repair scheduling.
• Strong accountability for shop productivity, attendance, and team performance.

Responsibilities

• Staffing & Hiring: Recruit and hire technicians and staff, maintain personnel records.
• Training & Coaching: Train new team members and role-play sales/customer skills.
• Team Leadership & Culture: Foster a positive, accountable team and hold regular meetings.
• Scheduling: Create weekly schedules based on projected sales and holidays.
• Sales Performance: Meet sales goals and plan promotions.
• Financial Management: Maintain gross profit margins and update daily records.
• Center Image & Maintenance: Keep center clean and up to Meineke guidelines.
• Customer Experience: Ensure customer communication and resolve complaints.
• Customer Follow-Up & Reputation: Monitor CSI scores and online reviews.
• Inspections, Estimates & Repair Orders: Ensure inspections, build estimates, order parts.
