Job summary

Life Skills Autism Academy in High Point, NC is seeking a Center-Based Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to deliver one-on-one and small-group ABA therapy in center-based sessions.

You will implement behavior plans, collect data, train families, and collaborate with BCBA/BC staff. RBT certification is required; a high school diploma or GED is necessary; CPR/First Aid and TB testing are expected; ability to lift up to 50 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain current RBT certification (BACB).
• Must be willing to participate in background check.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Willing to obtain a tuberculosis (TB) test annually.
• Must be able to physically perform this job (lift up to 50 lbs).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong cultural competency with flexibility and open-mindedness.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings using intensive teaching and natural environment training.
• Follow prescribed behavioral protocols in client treatment plans built by BCBA/BC.
• Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
• Assist with parent and caregiver training per treatment protocols.
• Ensure timely documentation and adherence to procedures.
• Communicate progress to parents and caregivers as instructed by BCBA/BC.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized work and therapy environment.
• Assist with preparation of client materials and assessments.
