Job summary

Life Skills Autism Academy, a division of Centria Autism, located in High Point, NC, is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for full-time, in-center work. Responsibilities include direct client care in 1:1 and group settings, data collection, and parent training under BCBA supervision.

Requires RBT certification, background check, and physical ability to lift up to 50lbs. Salary range is $17-$23 per hour, with paid time off, structured pay plan, tuition discounts, and practicum

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain current RBT certification (BACB)
• Willing to participate in background check
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation required
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
• Willing to obtain TB test annually
• Physically able to perform job (lift up to 50lbs) and engage with children
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks precisely
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and use mobile technology
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong cultural competency and flexibility

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings using intensive teaching and natural environment training
• Follow treatment plans developed by BCBA/BC
• Collect, record, and summarize data on client behavior
• Assist with parent and caregiver training aligned with treatment protocols
• Ensure timely documentation and adherence to procedures
• Communicate progress with parents and caregivers as instructed by BCBA/BC
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized work and therapy environments
• Assist BCBA/BC in preparing client materials and assessments
