Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized behavior plans under the supervision of a BCBA.

You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors. Ability to move and lift up to 50 pounds is required; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Patience and compassion when working with children with autism.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and follow guidance from a BCBA.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• High school diploma or GED.
• CPR and First Aid certifications and TB test may be required.
• Background check upon preemployment.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children to implement individualized behavior plans under BCBA supervision.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.
• Observe and document progress, and adjust strategies as directed.
• Maintain a safe, supportive environment and collaborate with the team.
