Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA. You will apply evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

Candidates should be patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team. Training is provided, and physical activity is part of the role, including lifting up to 50

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and TB test within the last year.
• Ability to pass a preemployment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Registered Behavior Technician Certification required within 45 days of onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under the guidance of a BCBA.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Reduce interfering behaviors.
