Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism, following individualized intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA. You will teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques while reducing challenging behaviors.

Comprehensive training is provided; the job requires physical capability and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the last year)
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
• Be part of a team and participate in training activities.
• Maintain safety and be comfortable with physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
