Job summary

Life Skills Autism Academy is hiring Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized behavior plans under a BCBA. You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.

We seek patient, compassionate individuals who can work well in a team and are excited to help children reach their full potential.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid and TB test
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions and lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children implementing individualized behavior intervention plans.
• Assist the BCBA under guidance and use evidence-based techniques.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
• Maintain safety and assist with lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds.
