Job summary

Life Skills Autism Academy is seeking an exceptional Behavior Technician to support children on the autism spectrum with Applied Behavior Analysis therapy in a 1:1 setting under BCBA supervision. The role requires RBT certification or pursuit of the competency exam within 45 days of employment.

The position is full-time and in-center, with hours from 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Candidates must have a high school diploma, reliable transportation, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Qualifications

• Must hold or be willing to obtain RBT certification (BACB) and sit for competency exam within 45 days.
• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform floor-based activities as part of client care.
• Willing to participate in background checks and obtain CPR/First Aid if not current.
• Reliable transportation and eligibility to drive as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct 1:1 and group ABA therapy under BCBA supervision.
• Collect, record, and summarize data on client behavior.
• Assist with caregiver training aligned with treatment protocols.
• Ensure timely documentation and communication with families.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean therapy environment.
• Assist with client materials and assessments under supervision.
