Job summary

Life Skills Autism Academy seeks exceptional behavior technicians to provide 1:1 ABA therapy under BCBA supervision. Direct client care and data collection are core duties, with emphasis on safety and accurate documentation.

Candidates must be RBT-certified or willing to complete training within 45 days, and may need CPR/First Aid certification and TB testing. Competitive pay ranges from $19–$25 per hour, reflective of experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be willing to complete the RBT training and pass the competency exam within 45 days of employment.
• Background check process will be required if offered a position.
• Willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification; TB test if not within the past year.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and car insurance in some cases.
• Physically able to perform duties, including bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and moving quickly when necessary.
• Professional in presentation and conduct; strong patience and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings using intensive teaching and natural environment training.
• Follow prescribed behavior protocols and treatment plans created by BCBA/BC.
• Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
• Assist with parent and caregiver training aligned with the client’s protocols.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation.
• Communicate progress with parents and caregivers as instructed by BCBA/BC.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment.
• Assist BCBA/BC in preparing client materials and assessments.
