Job summary

iCare Health Network seeks a Director of Census Development to lead census growth strategy across its care centers and manage admissions to maximize referrals and profitability. You will partner with Operations and Clinical leaders to plan occupancy goals, engage hospitals and community stakeholders, and oversee the Central Admissions function.

This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and excellent communication to align clinical, operational, and marketing efforts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• Experience using Word, Excel, and EMR systems.
• PointClickCare experience preferred.
• English proficiency required (reading, writing, and speaking).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement census growth strategies across multiple nursing facilities within the long-term care network.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, referral sources, and market expansion initiative.
• Collaborate with facility leadership to support occupancy goals and drive consistent census performance.
• Coordinate with the financial team to assure admission policy and procedures are updated and align with organizational goals.
