Job summary

Carriage Services seeks a Managing Partner for Rolling Hills Memorial Park in California. The role oversees cemetery and funeral operations, leads staff, and builds community relationships to grow market share while delivering premier service.

You will manage financial performance through P&L oversight, develop marketing plans, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor teams toward future ownership opportunities. California licensure as Cemetery Manager or eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and adapt in a new market.
• Ability to obtain California Cemetery Manager license.
• Self-starter with problem-solving skills and minimal supervision.
• Minimum 2 years of cemetery/funeral home management experience.
• Cemetery Sales and Cemetery Grounds experience.
• Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer (or eligible to reciprocate in California).
• Strong business acumen with P&L ownership experience.
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive measurable results.
• Experience in cemetery operations and sales.
• Detail-oriented and a team player.
• Energetic with drive to execute.

Responsibilities

• Lead cemetery operations to grow market share by building strong community relationships.
• Provide exceptional personal service to client families during funeral and cemetery processes.
• Coach, mentor and develop staff and set goals; oversee supplier/vendor relationships.
• Oversee financial performance through analysis of revenues and expenses (P&L ownership).
• Develop and implement marketing plans to expand location exposure.
• Ensure all business operation permits are current and applied for timely.
• Manage capital requests and expenditures; inspect facilities to standards.
• Pursue future ownership opportunities through leadership development.
