Job summary

Ash Grove Cement is seeking a Plant Technical Manager to lead all process technical operations at our cement plant. You will supervise mining, process, automation engineering, IS/IT/OT, quality control and capital projects, driving efficiency, cost control and product quality while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires comprehensive cement plant expertise, strong leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to meet KPIs and strategic plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
• 10+ years cement plant technical experience
• Proficient in English (written and spoken)
• Knowledge of end-to-end cement manufacturing operations (quarry to dispatch)
• Knowledge of plant capital project management and plant automation systems
• Strong project management skills with ability to deliver on time and budget

Responsibilities

• Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
• Improve efficiency and profitability by maximizing resource utilization and minimizing waste.
• Lead Technical Department, analyzing KPI results to propose cost-effective solutions.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, technical services, sales and engineering to achieve plant goals.
• Lead training programs on SOPs, safety, quality control and continuous improvement.
• Prepare and distribute technical reports, budgets and performance forecasts.
• Direct the Five-Year Capital Plan and ensure project approvals and closures.
• Support plant equipment purchases and capital planning processes.
• Oversee Automation Engineers and IS/IT/OT security measures for plant operations.
• Continuously analyze performance and drive process improvements.
